7 Places in the UK I would love to go

I have a bucket list of international places as long as both my arms, but we often forget about the places right on our doorstep. Normally when I travel around my home country it’s to see friends or family, or to do a specific activity. But if I had the time or money, these places would be top of the list!

Ireland

Sad to say I’ve never been to Ireland! I would love to see it one day, particularly The Giants Causeway. My family have been here but I didn’t get the chance to go with them at the time! Looks like a real natural beauty


Scotland

Similarly to Ireland, I’ve never made it this far north! I really like the look of Edinburgh- lots of my friends have been here and it seems like a charming city


Open top bus in London

Ok hear me out:
Even though I’ve been to London hundreds of times, part of me wants to do one of those really cheesy open top buses? Just to see what they point out as the points of interest in London. I likely would know a lot of the facts about it but I just think it would be interesting to see London from that tourist point of view
Idk why I wanna do this but I do??


Lavender Fields

I’ve seen people visit these on instagram and it looks soo pretty, I’m sure it’s even more stunning in real life. Plus I bet it smells great. There are a few of these dotted around the country, such as in Norfolk and also in Hitchin.

Who wouldn’t want to stand in these?


Harry Potter Studio Tour (Watford)

My family aren’t big Potterheads but I have a bit of a soft spot for it, so I think this would be really fun! Never had the opportunity to go or the funds as I hear it’s quite expensive..

 Friends Fest (Shoreditch)

Everyone seems to be doing this at the moment and it looks really fun! Again, seems a bit cheesy, but Friends has comforted me on many a hangover so it would be jokes to see it in real life! It appears that the location for this varies but the next ones are in Shoreditch. I imagine this would also probably be on the spenny side..

Lake District

Natural beauty I have never had the pleasure of seeing, most say this is the most beautiful place in our country! From the photos I have seen of it, it’s so stunning that it doesn’t even look recognisable as England!



There’s so many other places I would absolutely love to see in the UK! It’s just dependent on having the money to visit..

When I originally arrived in Melbourne, I had a rough plan to travel up the east coast, but I didn't really know what I was going to do. I met some amazing people on the tour and a lot of them were staying in Melbourne to get jobs, so I decided to do the same. I'd heard there were lots of jobs here so it wouldn't be too difficult. I moved into an apartment with my 3 friends, and we were planning on staying for around 3 months to work. But don't let instagram fool you; it's not been sunsets and beach days all the time. My experience with Hostels

               A fun hostel in Budapest People are sometimes concerned to hear that I will probably be spending most of my time on my big trip staying in hostels.  They have a bad rep; often they are avoided for fear of being dirty, run-down, and full of loud and inconsiderate backpackers. They could never be as luxurious as hotels. While all of these stereotypes can be true, I've found that they are generally better than people expect them to be, (often even better than hotels) and they are a fantastic option for the budget-friendly traveller. Goodbye Byron Bay

My time in Byron has finally come to an end. I've learnt so much and grown so much during my three and a half months in Byron, so it feels very bitter-sweet to be leaving. I'm really proud to say that I lived in my van for two months. This is something I wasn't expecting but I'm so glad I did it. I loved it but it certainly was a challenge at times! The past month, as I've known I'll be leaving soon, has been the best and most enjoyable time in Byron. It sometimes works that way as the pressure is off and you are more mindful about the place you're in, making the most of all the opportunities. I moved into a hostel, the Arts Factory, which was so fun and probably my favourite hostel I've ever stayed in.  It's been SO much fun as well as nourishing; I've learnt a lot from amazing people and grown so much.
