A Day Out in Shoreditch

On Sunday, I met up with some of my fantastic uni friends, Lucy, Hannah, Eleanor and Jack, for a catch up in London. We headed to Shoreditch, an area of London I've rarely been to, in search of good food and drinks for a chill Sunday catch up. (Shout out to Eleanor for finding all of the places we went to) Firstly, we all met in a cute little Korean restaurant called On The Bab. Here we all got various bits to eat, and I got these delicious chicken gyozas. A really lovely spot to start nattering and catching up! Then we went on to Boxpark. This is a huge shipping container converted into a mini mall with shops, restaurants and bars. It's very trendy and seems to really fit into the Shoreditch/Hackney vibe. I could spend quite a while just wandering in and out of these tiny stores and admiring the surrounding street art. As we went up to the roof of Boxpark, we found the main bar and food area. Best places to drink on my travels

Shortly following the post about the best places I’ve eaten during my travels, I thought it would be fitting to write about the best places to drink. This list ranges from chill bars, to sensational cocktails, to boozy nightclubs! Szimpla Kert, Budapest One of the coolest bars I’ve ever been to, Szimpla Kert is one of the famous ruin bars that Budapest is so well-known for. I remember being surprised at how huge it was; there are many different levels and rooms you can easily get lost in. The trendy décor is easily the best part, so it’s a fantastic Instagram opportunity! Tiki Bar, Costa Brava This was a cute little bar we found on our girls holiday to Spain, that did huge gorgeous cocktails! Pina colada was obviously a fav, as was a sex on the beach.
